Composition:
Naphazoline Hydrochloride USP……………………………………………0.01% w/v
Boric Acid IP……………………………………………………………………….1.10% w/v
Benzalkonium Chloride IP (As preservative)…………………………….0.01% w/v
Glycerol IP………………………………………………………………………….1.0% w/v
Sterile Aqueous Base…………………………………………………………..q.s.
Therapeutic Class: Decongestant/Lubricant
Indication: Relieves eye redness due to minor eye irritation and protects eye against further irritation. Relieves dryness of the eye and temporarily relieves eye burning and irritation due to eye dryness.
Adult Dosage: Adults: 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) upto qid.
Warnings/Precautions:
- Do not use if solution changes colour or becomes cloudy.
- Do not touch container tip to any surface to avoid contamination; replace cap after use.
- Overuse may cause increased eye redness. Temporary enlargement of pupils may occur.
- Discontinue if eye pain or vision changes occur, eye redness/irritation continues or condition worsens or symptoms last for & greater than 72 hours.
- Remove contact lenses before use.
- Caution with narrow-angle glaucoma.
Adverse Reactions: Temporary enlargement of pupils.
Pregnancy: Safety not known in pregnancy/Nursing.
Mechanism of Action: Decongestant/Lubricant.
Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
Presentation: NFM Eye drops is available in 10 ml bottle.
